Jennifer 'Finnegan' Patruno '90'

Jennifer (Finnegan) Patruno was also a cross country standout at Sidney, under the watchful eye of her father and coach Bob Finnegan. A perennial Section 4 champion as an individual as well as with her team, Jennifer's real claim to fame was on the track.

She ran the mile in the prestigious Millrose Games as a high school senior and later that winter also won the National Scholastic Mile in a competition held at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse. Her 1500 outdoor time has held up at Section Four's best time, more than a decade later.

A High School All-American, Jennifer was named the Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year for New York State in 1990. Later, as a scholarship runner at Wake Forest, she was a two-time All American in Track and Field.
